Our Founding Story

Ann Johnson founded Noble Governance to fill a need many businesses and social impact organizations have - for a highly experienced and educated partner to help develop systems, skills, and mindsets that tie visions, strategy, operations, product development, and financials together into a cohesive whole.​ 

Running a business is one of the most complicated things humans do, and Ann has the courage, optimism, expertise, and experience to coach, teach, strategize, and implement strategic plans and objectives. Her work is at once creative and standardized, and allows businesses to thrive uniquely and sustainably. Business owners and executive teams often welcome her friendly and direct approach.

Ann is a consilient thinker, decision-maker, and cross-functional leader, and thrives in the details just as much as engaging in high-level thought work. She received an Executive MBA in 2024 to bring academic knowledge and best practices to her clients. In addition, she partners with other trusted fractional professionals and companies to provide more holistic services.
 

Qualifications:

• Work experience in more than 30 companies as an employee, contractor, or consultant

• Seventeen years’ experience in operational and leadership roles in both nonprofit and for-profit companies in the areas of global public health, fair labor, environmental sustainability, underserved youth, food scarcity, veteran support, impact investing, DEIB initiatives, and community access programming

• Executive MBA, University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, MN

• Certificate in Business Administration, Georgetown School of Continuing Studies in Washington, DC

• BA in Philosophy, Concordia College in Moorhead, MN​​​​
   

Ann lives in Minneapolis-Saint Paul, MN with her dog Teddy, and enjoys the wilderness, time with family and friends, meeting people from many backgrounds, and being a good neighbor.
